Description
Atriplex hortensis L. (2n = 9x = 18), also known as garden orach or mountain-spinach, is a highly nutritious, leafy annual plant. It is a moderately xero-halophytic species that is resistant to salinity, a wide range of temperatures, and drought. A. hortensis has been recognized for its medicinal properties which were shown to improve digestion, increase circulation and boost the immune system.
