Description

Acorus calamus var. angustatus (Acoraceae) is a mid-term, perennial, fragrant herb which is practiced in the Ayurvedic (Indian traditional) and the Chinese system of medicine. The plant’s rhizomes are brown in color, twisted, cylindrical, curved, and shortly nodded. The leaves are radiant green, with a sword-like structure, which is thicker in the middle and has curvy margins.
