Description

Chloranthus spicatus (Chloranthaceae), distributed mainly in southern China, has long been regarded as a medicinal material to treat aches, trauma, and bleeding. Its roots, known as “zhulan-gen” in China, were used externally to cure carbuncle, furuncle, tumefaction, and ringworm.
