Description
Arundina graminifolia (Orchidaceae), known as bamboo orchid, is a terrestrial multiperennial with reedy stems that forms clumps and grows to a height between 70 cm and 2 m. This tropical genus extends from India, Nepal, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, and South China to Indonesia and across the Pacific Islands. It has been widely used for sore throat, detoxification, and dissipating blood stasis by Dai people living in Xishuangbanna, Yunnan Province.
