Description

Styrax argentifolius belonging to the genus Styrax in the family Styracaceae, it is mainly used for perfumes and incense and for household and medical purposes. Phytochemical studies have suggested that benzofurans, lignans, triterpenoids, saponins and sterols are the characteristic chemical classes from S. argentifolius, and have anti-sweat, anti-cancer, anti-bacterial, and anti-fungal activities.
