Davidia involucrata, also known as dove tree or handkerchief tree, originated mainly in the southwest area of China. It is a unique tertiary relic plant in China, also known as ‘living fossil’ and ‘giant panda’ because of the special evolutionary status and its native distributions, with great academic research value.
