Description
Tacca chantrieri (Tacceceae) is a traditional medicinal plant widely used by the Chinese Dai. It is mainly distributed in southern China, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Thailand. Its rhizome has anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects and is used for the treatment of gastric and duodenal ulcers, hepatitis, and hypertension. Previous phytochemical investigations resulted in the identification of steroids, diarylheptanoids, and flavonoids.
