Description
Cymbopogon citratus (Poaceae) is a tropical aromatic perennial plant, known as lemongrass, native to India and distributed worldwide in tropical and subtropical zones. The leaves of C. citratus are traditionally used as infusion or decoction for curing febrile conditions, gastrointestinal, vascular and nervous disorders and inflammatory-based ailments.
